Sara Holcomb has more than 16 years of experience with historic preservation, façade inspections, and consulting in New York City and around the country. Her building envelope expertise and project leadership experience has included numerous complex structures, ranging from high-rise office buildings and hotels, to residential buildings and parking garages, as well as government and university campuses.
Highlights from Sara’s engineering consulting background include historic preservation, structural engineering repair design, roofing and waterproofing design, and forensic leak investigations. Her past project experience includes condition assessments, steel and concrete structural analysis, bidding and construction administration, repair and restoration design, building enclosure peer review, and New York City façade ordinance inspections.
Her material expertise includes structural steel and concrete; terra cotta, brick, and stone masonry and anchorage; and various sealant, roofing, and waterproofing systems and technologies. Sara is a licensed PE in multiple states and a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) in New York City. Her professional industry affiliations include ICRI and the Sealant, Waterproofing, and Restoration Institute.
